Yet another bright and fabulous morning is spreading its warmth across this coastal stretch, the temperature pleasant, the air still and the surf pumping!
Four feet of blue glass walls are marching into the bay to explode on that sandbar just ahead of high tide, sending reeling barrels off to the shore. Half a dozen are out already, catching a pre-work tube or two on a bright and sunny, cheery morning.
It does’t get much better than this, well, except for that tide getting too high already but that will sort itself out by the time you have had your breakfast, in the garden maybe?
So, grab your favourite board, pass on your apologies and #gosurfnow!

You might already have noticed the addition of the iconic ‘SJ’s Forecast for the South West’ being added on to our daily surf report.  If you scroll down to the comments section of our Surf Report page you can find the return of the original UK Web surf forecaster, SJ!  At the moment it is a little ad hoc but if things work out there might be the opportunity to expand it all.
Let us know what you think!

There are little swell lines smoothly gliding into the bay this morning, the tide that little bit too high to allow them to break properly but promising a foot or two if they could.
There is a different beauty here, the calm and tranquility of those little waves adding to the still and hazy calmness of the bay, a contrast to the more surf exposed beaches of the other side of the headland.
The surf is better over there but if you want some peace and relaxation then this could be the place for you!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

We should be enjoying a very pleasant start to this week again with that small but building swell showing itself on Monday morning, the winds light and offshore to start with, staying light but drifting around for the rest of the week.
So a mid-teens wave period on two to three feet of swell, with very light breezes going onshore occasionally as the sea breeze effect kicks in, mainly through midday each day.
Yep, a heavenly week of not big but fun surf and very pleasant weather is on its way and it should last all week!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
