Constantine (3*):  3 to 4 feet

Following last night’s noisy downpours the sun is bright and the breeze is light on a still chilly but much more inviting morning.
A light southerly breeze is just slopping the three or maybe four feet of high tide fattened surf but the forecast is promising a switch in that wind to offshore as it backs to the south east through this morning.
We could just be in for a very pleasant day of fun surf along with some pleasant weather.

Harlyn (2*):  2 feet

A couple of feet of reasonably smooth little swell is bouncing and skipping into Harlyn as high tide fills in this morning, the bright sunshine picking up the layers of aqua blue in that transparent sea.
The bay is quiet as the seabirds go about their foraging, their calls and shouts being given rhythm by the steady whoosh of the high tide shoredump.
Yep, it’s all very pleasant here this morning!

Surf Forecast for Thursday 13th May 2021

And then the north westerlies return!
That blustery onshore wind is going to carry a few downpours with it as an otherwise fun three foot swell is likely to be chopped and slopped by that chilling blow.
It could be one of those days to get on with all those inside jobs today.

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

South westerly winds are set to continue to bother and fuss their way into our bays and coves for most of this week, a new low pressure system arriving as the previous one departs.
But at least that wind will blow some swell our way!
So the week will start out with Harlyn providing the entertainment, a decent three feet plus of strong enough swell swinging its way into the bay for a few days at least.
The tides will play a big part in when is best to get in, those big tides of the weekend only slowly shrinking in height and so losing that rippy effect that the big dropping tides were having.
The wind should ease in strength towards the end of the week, a light north westerly breeze replacing that warmer wind by Thursday and then staying north westerly for week’s endchilling and chopping the already mediocre surf.
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
