Constantine (1*):  2 ft with light onshores

It is a fabulous morning with the sun shining bright, the odd fluffy cloud drifting about, the sky a pale, pale blue and the sea twinkling in the early morning light.
Shame about the surf though;  there’s barely a couple of feet of sloppy and weak looking little waves trickling ashore right now.  A pretty close-fetch little swell is rolling around, maybe producing the odd three footer but they are rare.
High tide has just passed and so we might see some sharper, cleaner conditions as the tide eases out. But with these north westerly breezes, light as they are, it is still likely to stay fairly sloppy for most of the day.
You should be able to get a little surf in and the weather is so pleasant it will be worth it but take something floaty to ride, you’re going to be slop slurping today!

We are due a couple of wetsuit deliveries today and so it’s another day for us to be clearing some space in the shop, ready to receive them as well as more accessories, more Ts, more everything really in readiness for a hopefully busy bank holiday at the end of the month which usually gently kicks off our busier season.
Because of that we should have some odds and ends that will need to be cleared out at giveaway prices over the next week or two, so it could just be worth dropping in on us if you’re around the area!
Also, we have been rebuilding our shop team here for the 2014 season and it’s all going well with a few new characters to help you find what you’re looking for.
But we are still looking for that all important but, so far, elusive person to fill the role of team leader!
Someone with just a bit more, an interested and interesting person, capable of shepherding us all along. Great with customers, great with staff, understanding of the Groms and with an eye for style. A knowledge of how a wetsuit should fit and what fins do what for a surfboard would be useful, an ability to get on with everyone more vital.

No, it is pretty flat here this morning.
It has just come off high tide and so those little (tiny) waves might not be showing themselves yet but there is barely any swell managing to travel all the way around and into the bay today.
It’s a pretty wonderful place for a SUP or maybe some fishing off the kayak (followed by a smacking snack from ‘Food for Thought‘ maybe, mmmm!) but you ain’t going to get no surf around here, not today!

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  12:15  (0.9m)                  High Tide:  18:06  (7.1m)

Surf Forecast for Thursday 15th May 2014

Oooh!  It could just be good today.  It could actually be very good today!
Not big or anything near it but we should be able to enjoy a very decent three foot swell with a double digit wave-period to it.
Throw in some bright and cheery sunshine, the very lightest of offshore breezes and you might just experience one of those better days of fun-in-the-sun!
Don’t forget the sunblock!

Surf Conditions for the End of the Week

It is all looking pretty fabulous for the back half of this week!
As high pressure takes control of the weather, there is a little swell generating depression out there, spinning some quite small but immaculately shaped little waves our way.  Well, when I say ‘little’, it could be a half decent three feet or maybe just a bit bigger at its peak.
These light offshore breezes and clear, bright skies are likely to hang around at least for a couple of days and so it is all looking very pleasant as we go into the weekend!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
