The rain is lashing down as the south westerly wind eases gradually this morning, the darkness of the night only reluctantly giving way to some sort of dull grey of a sodden dawn.
It’s not a dreamy beach day, that’s for sure and yet there is still that cosy attraction, even in the grey cold of a rainy winter’s day.
There’s four, five or six feet of lumpy and shifty surf attacking the bays this morning, the wind shuffling in from the south sou’ west, more sideshore than anything else.
Nah, it’s not great, let’s check Harlyn!

So, we have been having some great fun this last couple of weeks with our weekend POP-UP SALES and we don’t want it to finish! But equally we cannot afford to keep giving suits out at the prices that we have been.
So imagine our delight when we unpacked another couple of boxes of winter wetsuits and decided that nobody is going to really want to buy them now until next year – unless we offer them out at fantastic discount prices!
So, with the winter half-term school holidays upon us, we have decide to have a SCHOOLS OUT – CLEAR OUT!!
And it’s O’Neill and Xcel’s turn to be offered at HALF – PRICE! We have Xcel Infiniti X2s at HALF-PRICEas well as a range of O’Neill winter wetsuits at HALF-PRICE!!
From Saturday 13th FEB to Sunday 21st FEB, 10.30 to 4pm daily. And all our other WINTER WETSUITS(Patagonia, Vissla, Xcel and O’Neill) will also be on SALE at a mighty 30% OFF with loads of other offers throughout the shop (30% OFF Patagonia clothing plus 20% OFF most other stuff!).
Once again this offer is only open to callers to the shop!
The whole point is to get everyone back into that surfy rapping kind of buzz feeling that the internet sometimes doesn’t quite get!! And with the surf looking promisingly pleasant this weekend, it could just be worth your while dropping in on us agin for another SUPER WETSUIT BARGAIN!

The wind is straight offshore here this morning with three feet of glass-smooth and reeling, hollow waves folding themselves in towards the grey and soaked sand.
Thos waves are drifting through in long spaced sets, close together within those sets but allowing waiting time for the better ones.
It is likely to increase in size a little with this morning’s tide and then the wind is forecast to slip onshore as the tide drops out after lunch, so make the most of it while conditions are clean, it’s going to be onshore for a couple of days after this!

Surf Forecast for Thursday 18th February 2016

A six foot swell is going to be churned into junk by fresh north westerly winds today, a brighter day but with poorer surf. On this coast anyway.
The far coast is probably going to be as excellent as it has been through last weekend, if a little smaller.
Back at home, well, it is likely to be a chopped out and mixed up mess of junk surf at best!

Surf Conditions for the Rest of the Week

The brisk south westerly wind of Wednesday morning is soon going to give way to a more north westerly wind making for choppy and messy surf conditions for the back half of the week.
Conditions at Harlyn should be clean and sharp through Wednesday morning before giving way to those north westerlies and turning to junk through midday and staying that way for a day or two.
The grey and wet and windy conditions of midweek should brighten and ease by Thursday, the wind staying north westerly, staying onshore.
And then we should be back to Harlyn by Friday in a fresh south westerly blowing offshore here.
So, the south coast beckons for a couple if days before Harlyn kicks back in with a building swell into the weekend!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
