Constantine (0*):  0 to 1 foot

A light nor’ westerly breeze is breathing quietly across the bay on another bright and cheery early summer’s morning, the pale blue sky reflecting against the darker blue of a cooler looking sea.
There’s barely a ripple to ride in the shallows, one out on a SUP, gently cruising around the Point with barely a roll or a bob from that tiny swell.
You might get a surfy glide in ahead of high tide but you’re going to need a big old board!

Harlyn (0*):  Flat

A deserted Harlyn is all calm and tranquility again this morning, the lockdown anthem of birdsong beautifully breaking the silence of an otherwise serene bay.
There’s no surf at all here again today though but hey ho, it’s still a pleasant place to just be.

Surf Forecast for Thursday 18th June 2020

We can expect another day of tiny little wavelets at best today with some bright enough weather, although that threat of a heavy downpour will still be lurking just over the horizon.
The northerly going northwesterly breeze, light as it is is going to keep temperatures down to the mid teens, unless you park up in the sun behind a windbreak that is.
We could definitely do with some surf now though!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

As we fumble about trying to smoothly re-open the shop we can look forward to a mixed week of showers and cloud with mild mid-teens temperatures, mainly offshore breezes and only small surf.
That low pressure system seems to have parked over us for a while, producing a pulsing stream of showers as we start the new week, the breeze continuing steadily from the south east, meeting the same one to two feet of curling and peeling but very small surf.
The breeze will swing onshore, more northerly and north westerly as we go into midweek, maybe making that still small surf a little less attractive. And then the offshores will return to end the week but that might very well flatten the already small swell.
So a lazy week for a restart, which will end up probably not being such a bad thing, as long as we return to brightness soon enough.
Stay safe, stay happy and have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!

OPEN TODAY 10 TILL 1!!

We feel that we can now provide a safe service at Constantine Bay Surf Store to all of our customers, adhering to social distancing advice and using the very best cleaning and disinfecting agents.
We carry enough hire stock to allow for a 72 hour ‘quarantine’ of previously hired items following a thorough wash-through of each hire item in an enzyme based cleaner. Wipes and wash are available to our customers and we will be restricting the number of customers within Constantine Bay Surf Store at any one time.
New wetsuits may be taken away to try in the comfort of your home, any returns again being ‘quarantined’ for 72 hours before being re-displayed.
Since our cosy shop is too small to offer social distancing compliance for more than one or two customers at a time, we will strictly control the number of customers entering at any one time. Please bear with us on this, we cannot yet think of an alternative!
Constantine Bay Surf Store is now simply screened and will continually be cleaned and disinfected on an ongoing basis, all pay points wiped after each transaction.
An outdoors pay point will be available when weather allows.
If you require anything else at all during this time please email us at [email protected] or telephone 01841 520250.
