At 7.50 a.m:

Constantine (2*):  6 to 8 feet.

A brighter, drier and milder morning is cheering us all up this morning, the wind lightish and from the south, just fresh enough to echo the birdsong while the sky has just enough open space in it to call it bright.
And the surf is pumping!
Yep, a solid swell is booming into the bay this morning, lines of set waves marching firmly to the shallows before throwing themselves into the high tide shore dump while warped peaks hesitate off the Point.
The wind is forecast to strengthen while the swell is expected to build throughout the day.
So, let’s check Harlyn…………..

Harlyn (3*):  2 to 3 feet.

The surf is surprisingly small around here this morning, given the power mode of those swells over on the other side.
A couple to maybe just about three feet of crumbly waves are cascading over the high tide bank but looking a little weak and tired.
That should change – a lot – as the tide drops out.
The swell is expected to build as the wind strengthens offshore (here) and so we should be seeing some hollow and hungry, wide open barrels by lunchtime, turning into a meaner Harlyn by this afternoon!

Surf Forecast for Thursday 2nd February 2017

Strong southerly, going south westerly winds will be pushing some heavy water swells onto our rocky coast today, the early morning four foot swell soon becoming a pounding 6 to 8 foot power swell.
If you can find the right spot you could just be in for some special surf today!
Take it easy out there though!

Surf Conditions for the Rest of the Week

Strengthening onshore winds are going to be blowing our way all the way through the rest of this week and some big and building swells are going to be blasting in too!
So the couple to three feet and building swell at the start of the week will quickly double and treble in size as we go along, blown in by strong gusting sou’ westers, those waves ending up in the ‘huge’ size range by the end of the week!
It’s looking like a wild and wet, blustery week ahead culminating in a stormy weekend, so take it easy!
Have a great week though, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
