The air is still this morning with no more than a light, light breeze gently drifting offshore, the easterly air feeling warm and muggy.
A silver sheet of grey is low over us today too, an almost too heavy blanket of thick sky, muffling the birdsong and wave hiss.
And there are waves!
Three feet of reflecting silver peaks are gliding into the bay, the occasional bigger ones moving quicker and with more purpose.
The quick dropping tide is making bit of a mess of things right now but once the Point is cleared there should be some more direction to it all. We should be enjoying some fun two to four foot, sheet glass surf as the sun gradually burns through during midday.
And this afternoon should be rocking!
So get the sunblock and wax out, you’re going to need it!

Harlyn (1*):  1 foot

A foot or two of glassy little curlers are being pulled back by the rapidly draining tide here this morning that low, low sky embracing the solid looking block of silver sea.
This afternoon’s tide will show more waves and they will be more defined but it is the other side of the headland that will have all the surf today!

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  11:14  (0.8m)              High Tide:  17:08  (7.2m)

Surf Forecast for Thursday 25th May 2017

A hot and sunny day should reveal a couple of feet of curling and peeling waves as they glide ashore against a light, light offshore breeze.
It’s not going to be big at all but it should be good!

Surf Conditions for the Rest of the Week

A fun week of surf seems to be lying in wait for us this week with great weather forecast and clean conditions provide by strengthening offshore winds.
As all the groms start to wander out of school straining for a well earned half-term break, the elements are conspiring to provide at least a few days of very useable weather along with some rock ’n rolling surf!
Thursday looks to be the best of the beach-and-sun-and-surf days with not the biggest waves but plenty of warmth along with some clean and peeling waves to glide on.
Have a safe and enjoyable week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
