That’s cold!
Another dark and overcast, wet ‘n windy dawn is starting the day, a bone chillingly cold north westerly wind swinging down the coast.
Saying that, there are some lighter gaps just over there in the otherwise densely cloud packed sky and this wind is forecast to ease up a little as the sky brightens later but let’s wait and see!
And of course the surf is completely trashed out again, that squealing onshore wind just flattening the otherwise four or even five feet of sloppy junk surf.
It looks like another far coast day today!

And it’s that time of the week where I’m thinking of how to attract some business into the shop again this weekend.
Thanks for all of your interest in our pop-up sales over the last few weekends, it has been great to have a little buzz going on during all these storms. And hopefully a whole bunch of you are happy with your bargain buys!
So, how to carry it on!?
We still have a few Patagonia suits that we can put out at HALF-PRICE and we might as well commit to continuing out HALF-PRICE Vissla wetsuit sale.
And how about a massive 40% OFF our XCEL wetsuits as well!!?
We have a full range of 4 and 5 mil Xcel suits including Drylocks and Infiniti suits and those already super value Axis suits too.
And this weekend only, how about 40% OFF our Patagonia Jackets and tops with 30% OFF all of our other Ts and Hoodies.
We already have our footwear on offer at HALF-PRICE and have winter hats from £5!
So, if you’re around the area (bearing in mind the surf could be seriously good on Sunday afternoon (see the weekend surf forecast below)), then it could be worth dropping in on us for what could just be a last chance bargain!

That ice cold nor’ wester is screeching its way in here this morning too, demolishing the three feet and bigger of close together windblown chop.
It’s as pretty as a picture in a dark and foreboding kind of way but give it a few hours and at least it should be brighter.
The surf will still be rubbish but the weather should cheer up!

Surf Forecast for Saturday 3rd February 2018

Another day filled with north westerly winds!
Hopefully the sky should be brighter but the quite biggish surf is likely to be wind-trashed and rubbish for the whole day, that onshore wind continuing to feel cold as it ruins the surf.

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

That was a bit of a noisy storm overnight but it has calmed a little this morning, allowing some gaps between those mountains of clouds, enough anyway to allow us to see that #superbluebloodmoon that I have heard so much about but only seen on a screen until now. And fabulous it is too!
So the wind has eased but not by much, there’s still a freezing cold bluster of a blow wrecking the surf and throwing sand in your face, while busily reshaping the dunes yet again. The weather this winter has been more than a little OCD, fidgeting and fussing around the headland and dunes moving sand to here then there then back again all in a bit too much of a hurry.
And none of us know the result yet, conditions haven’t settled for long enough to allow a decent swell to show.
And it’s the same today. Six or maybe eight feet of wind bullied surf is being pushed and moved around the bay, that still strong north westerly boringly trashing what chance there might have been for a brief chance of something better in the corner.
Ah well, south coast anyone, again?
