It’s a beautiful start to the day!
The sky is bright, the birdsong is loud, the sea is twinkling and the surf…, well, there is surf but it is real small.
One to occasionally two feet of shimmering little waves are peaking over those clearly defined little sandbars, the still air allowing those waves to peak and peel in their own time.
There are a couple out at Booby’s already, cruising into knee to hip high and glassy little peelers and having a fun but leisurely, probably pre-work one.
The wind should stay light until this afternoon when those sea breezes will inevitably kick in.
So, grab the longboard or fish, it could be fun in the sun!

It’s pretty much flat, flat around here this morning, the sea mist clinging to water’s edge and creating a bit of a mystical effect this sunny morning but also ruling out an early morning SUP session as well.  No, it’s the other side of the headland for surf again today and it’s not exactly big around there either!

Surf Forecast for Thursday 28th May 2015

That north westerly wind is likely to be back today, not strong but steady enough to slop the bigger but still localised and weakfish swell.
A couple to three feet of sloppy surf is as much as we can expect today, starting off quite dull but brightening eventually.

Surf Conditions for the Rest of the Week

These steady, onshore winds are set for the week, gradually shifting from the north west through west and then back to north west.
The surf should build a little into midweek but is still likely to be not much more than a foot or two and quite a weak foot or two at that.
The weathers should stay relatively calm and relaxed but it’s unlikely to be wall-to-wall sunshine or anything, in fact it is likely to stay more cloudy than anything but it should stay mainly dry for most of the time too.
So, not the best week but not too bad either. We should be able to get in for a surf most days, even if conditions might not be as great as we would like. But at least it’s not flat, which it can easily be at this time of year!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
