Surf Report for Saturday 3rd February 2018

At 7.50 a.m:

Constantine (0*):  4 feet

It’s a wild ‘n wet ‘n windy one again this morning!
After a calm and misleading night that north westerly wind is again screeching into the bay this morning, a full gale all harsh and noisy and so very cold.
And so the four feet or so of wild and out of control surf is being ravaged and battered on its way to the shore.
You don’t want to be going out there today, not when it’s like this.

Thanks for all of your interest in our pop-up sales over the last few weekends, it has been great to have a little buzz going on during all these storms. And hopefully a whole bunch of you are happy with your bargain buys!
So, how to carry it on!?
We still have a few Patagonia suits that we can put out at HALF-PRICE and we might as well commit to continuing out HALF-PRICE Vissla wetsuit sale.
And how about a massive 40% OFF our XCEL wetsuits as well!!?
We have a full range of 4 and 5 mil Xcel suits including Drylocks and Infiniti suits and those already super value Axis suits too.
And this weekend only, how about 40% OFF our Patagonia Jackets and tops with 30% OFF all of our other Ts and Hoodies.
We already have our footwear on offer at HALF-PRICE and have winter hats from £5!
So, if you’re around the area (bearing in mind the surf could be seriously good on Sunday afternoon (see the weekend surf forecast below)), then it could be worth dropping in on us for what could just be a last chance bargain!

Harlyn (0*):  3 feet

That roaring north westerly is growling its way into the bay here as well this morning, trashing the three feet of grey and mixed up, chopped out, lumpy, bumpy and very wintery looking surf.
You might not want to dive in here in a hurry, although I always think that Harlyn is quite inviting in a strange kind of way when it’s all mixed and chopped like this, even with that winter hue to its natural blue.

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  13:50  (0.5m)              High Tide:  19:41  (7.5m)

Surf Forecast for Sunday 4th February 2018

Oooh, this is promising!
We could just waken to three feet of offshore-shaped and manicured, smooth and hollow waves under some bright and cheery winter sun today!
I know, it’s difficult to believe but with a light to steady north easterly wind forecast to blow offshore all day and most of the cloud rushing off somewhere else, well, it could just be very good!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

Fresh and cold, gusting north westerly winds are going to carry us into this weekend, pushing most of those rain-laden clouds away quite quickly but making a mess of any surf.
Saturday looks like a day of biggish but windtorn and shredded waves, with a chance of things cleaning up but only a little through the afternoon.
There might just be a pulse of something bigger in the swell just as that wind weakens, so there might be a tiny chance of something of interest then.
But it’s Sunday that is exciting us!
The wind is likely to ease its way to north easterly through the early hours of Sunday, maybe allowing us to lazily wake up to some clean and pleasing conditions. There shouldn’t be too much need to hurry, that wind might take a little while to settle more offshore while the early morning high tide might not be too inspiring either.
But by mid-morning we could just be enjoying some clean and pleasant three to four feet of offshore shaped surf under a pleasantly bright and fairly clear sky!
