At 6.55 a.m:

Constantine (1*):  6 to 8 feet

The waves are roaring and the gulls are screeching as the cold wind of Autumn shrieks along our coastline, a noisy nor’ wester tugging and pulling at the wild and angry sea.
There are some big waves tumbling into the bay this morning, a solid six or eight feet but there’s no shape, no direction and not much reason to get involved with any of it!

Harlyn (1*): 4 to 6 feet

That noisy nor’ wester is blasting into Harlyn this morning too, toppling and churning the four to six feet of wind ravaged and out of control surf.
There’s not much to ride out there and little chance of looking forward to much change today either, well, not on this coast anyway.

Surf Forecast for Bonfire Night, Saturday 5th November 2022

The wind should back to the south west overnight, still chopping the westerly breaks but offshore at our favourite sheltered close-out spots.
If you’re looking for a sand drenching dumpster of a session with a thousand of your closest critics then – welcome to an Autumn Saturday at Harlyn!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

A wild and windy weekend filled with roaring and mighty surf awaits us as ex-hurricane Martin gracefully expires on its drive across the North Atlantic, spinning huge waves our way for Sunday and into the start of next week.
So Saturday should be a fairly typical, blustery Autumn day at Harlyn with a gusting sou’ westerly wind holding up head high waves and bigger at Harlyn as well as other more northerly facing breaks.
The size of those already booming waves is likely to increase through the afternoon and into the evening and so by Sunday we can expect some monsters to be growling their way into those super sheltered mysto spots that are scattered all along our coast.
It is going to be BIG through Sunday everywhere and it’s only going to get bigger too!
So remember boys and girls; if in doubt – don’t go out!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
