The breeze is a bit nippy this morning, a very light nor’ westerly pinching as it blows. But the sky is bright and a couple to three feet of lightly slopped little surf is washing ashore just to remind us that summer is a-coming, even if it does look a little dark and wintery out there.
But on land it’s all brightness and cheer, the promise of an enjoyable day for different times.

Surf Forecast for Sunday 3rd May 2020

Light south westerly winds will be driving some heavy showers our way today, temperatures staying mild but the weather not exactly tempting anyone out today. Some bigger waves will be pushed in on that wind too but all a bit raggedy at the main breaks and not very big at the sheltered spots.

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

A mixed weekend is approaching, with both rain and sunshine, some clear skies and the dullness of grey included in the mix.
Saturday might start out feeling chilly with a steady nor’ westerly clearing the air. But that wind will soon ease to a breeze, the afternoon being much lighter and brighter. Seascape artists might enjoy the opportunity to sketch some rugged seas during their lockdown break even if the waves aren’t that big, the light and bounce on the surf should still be worth a capture. The surfers can rest easy knowing that they ain’t missing much, it’s going to be onshore mush pretty much all the way along the coast today.
Sunday morning however might prove tempting. The breeze is likely to have switched to south easterly first thing, allowing some very pretty little waves to peel their way ashore amongst the gloom and durge of a very overcast morning.
That breeze will soon settle to the south west though making for sloppy conditions at all of our main breaks anyway. It won’t be long now before we can get back in the water to slide a few with friends!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay home, wash your hands and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
