There’s more of a feel of Autumn than Summer in the damp air this morning as low pressure slowly passes by, a biting north easterly wind blowing across the headland to hold the tiny waves taller than they should be.
The sky is grey, the sea is grey and the air is wet but it is still quite a pleasant place to be on a chilly summer’s morning.
And this grotty weather should all pass by soon enough anyway!
Harlyn (0*): 0 to 1 foot
Harlyn is doing its quiet thing again today, the north easterly wind blowing steadily into the bay, pushing tiny, sloppy, seaweed strangled waves onto the beach.
It’s a great place to stroll or hang out for a while but there’s no surf here this morning!

Surf Forecast for Monday 28th June 2021
We are expecting a drier and brighter kind of day today with light offshore breezes but little in the way of rideable surf. A foot or so of teasingly beautifully shaped little peelers is as much as we can expect today!
Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week
A slow moving little low pressure system is only gradually going to slip away at the start of this week, leaving much clearer skies and much brighter conditions for the rest of the week.
But the surf is unlikely to improve much, if at all.
Knee high but gorgeously shaped little waves are as much as we can expect throughout the week and only then if we have picked just the right place at just the right time, that optimum time of tide with the shallowest of breaks to trip those little swells up.
So, it looks like Summer is gradually arriving and bringing with it a short period at least of those flat-day-blues, which is okay as long as it doesn’t stretch too long and the weather stay good!
