Constantine (1*):  2 feet

Even the gulls are noisily complaining this morning as a chilling north westerly wind chops out a couple of feet of grey and still wintery looking surf.
The sky is a heavy, leaden blanket of cloud weighing down on the bay but not looking too threatening.
And we’ll probably see something brighter soon enough but that wind is likely to stay onshore for the rest of the day. But unless you like bouncing around in a couple of feet of weak surf, it’s all a bit of a write off again.

Harlyn (0*):  0 to 1 foot

The north westerly wind is blustering into Harlyn again this morning, chopping and turning tiny waves as they slop onto the sand.
There’s no surf to speak of here today and it’s all a bit bleak and barren too. But still quite nice for all that!

Surf Forecast for Saturday 20th April 2024

Light offshore breezes are going to be tidying the small but pretty swells that peel through this morning along with some pleasant spring sunshine to warm us all up too!
The breeze should stay light all day but will probably swing onshore at lunchtime , taking the edge of what otherwise would be small but fun surf.

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

High pressure should edge over us this weekend to provide calm and pleasant spring like conditions, at least for a day or two anyway!
The surf is likely to be only small but the calm conditions, with offshore breezes set for the mornings, should result in small but clean surf, maybe more suitable for the gliders and cruisers amongst us than the daring-do hackers.
Some long awaited sunny summer weather will be welcome to all of us but that breeze will still have some northerly in it and that will keep temperatures down compare to what they might be.
That aside, this weekend is promising to offer us some pleasant beach time with clean morning surf to suit most average surfers.
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have the very best weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
