It’s a windswept and damp, blustery old morning down in the bays but no less attractive for all that.
A cold nor’ westerly is gusting into the bays, tossing and tumbling four feet or so of weak looking, mixed up and messy surf.
It’s great place to blow away a few weekend cobwebs but there isn’t any surf worth riding here today.
And we are LOOKING FOR STAFF!

Harlyn (0*): 3 to 4 feet
That cold nor’ wester is skittering into Harlyn this morning, chopping and messing the three feet of grey and weak windswell.
It’s a proper Cornish winter’s morning down in the bay with atet cold wind stirring the sea while spraying fine sand across the dunes.

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 15th February 2022
Hopefully the wind will switch to the west south west today, even if by only a few degrees. And that will allow Harlyn to produce some better surf conditions than yesterday while also pushing more swell our way.
I think that the wind might stay too westerly to allow conditions to be ‘good’ there but it should be better than it has been and could just be a bit of fun.
Surf Conditions to Start the Week
We are in for a week of strong onshores this week, a cold and irritating nor’ westerly to start the week, maybe backing a degree or two to the west or even the south west through midweek but straying back to the north west for moments, mainly during the afternoons.
So, our best chance of any reasonable surf this week will be a few short sessions at Harlyn at those times when the wind backs to the west or south west but it’s going to take some effort (or luck!) to pick those right moments.
The surf won’t be that big at the start of the week but these hard blowing winds will soon push up the swells, showing som big waves through the back half of the week.
The south coats should have some fun surf, again especially through the back half of the week but that is going to be. Matter of timing to get it right as well!
Still, there are plenty of waves due this week, so if you can tuck yourself out of the wind you should enjoy a good session or two!
