At 6.35 a.m. on Good Friday 29th March 2024

Constantine (2*):  5 to 7 feet

A southerly breeze is ruffling and bumping an otherwise solid and beefy looking, head high and bigger swell.
The sky is bright and blue as the high tide continues to wear down the beach head, stronger south westerly winds promised for this afternoon. And don’t be completely fooled by the blue sky patches, we’ll see more heavy downpours too!
Check below (at www.constantinesurf.com) for the full weekend forecast but right now it’s all looking as though Harlyn could be the place today!

Harlyn (3*):  2 to 4 feet

The bigger set waves are already washing whitewater under the bridge as the tide reaches towards high at Harlyn this morning, the surf looking a little bouncy and hesitant right now but that’s just the tide.
As the tide empties out we can expect some smoother and crunchier, snappy three foot plus of surf beneath mainly bright and clear skies.
And, as usual, Harlyn will be doing it’s teasing act of going almost flat between sets then throwing those sets at you (usually just as an impatient surf checker drives away from a brief stop on the bridge thinking it’s flat!).

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  13:49  (1.3m)              High Tide:  19:41  (6.6m)

Surf Forecast for Easter Saturday 30th March 2024

The early morning southerly breeze will gradually ease more offshore through the day, ending up south easterly (direct offshore at all of our favourite surf breaks) by the afternoon.
The swell will have dropped a bit but we should still be in the three to four feet range. Add the possibility of some clear Easter sunshine to it all and we have the makings of a very nice day to look forward to!

Don’t forget to pop your clocks an hour forward tonight!  British Summer (!?) time has started!

Surf Conditions for Easter Weekend 2024

Easter has a habit of delivering the goods surfwise and this year we are hoping for that habit to continue!
Good Friday’s south westerly winds should be replaced by South Easterly winds by Easter Saturday, the swell dropping a little but still expected to stay in the solid three to four foot range.
With these conditions there should be great surf at all of our favourite surf breaks. Add that big Spring tide to the mix and, if you can time it right, you could just score some excellent surf.
This should comfortably last through Easter Sunday, some very pleasant Easter sunshine cheering us all up after the mixed and dreary stuff we have been enjoying recently.
By Easter Monday the surf will have dropped in size to only a foot or two but the breeze should calm and stay offshore and those wave focusing spots will be the place to aim for, again at just the right stage of tide.
So, overall, we should be in for a very enjoyable and surfy Easter Weekend!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have the best Easter Weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
