Constantine (1*):  4 feet

Leaden skies are hanging heavily in the sky above the bays this morning, so low they’re almost touchable, a labouring south westerly wind bringing milder temperatures while tossing and messing three or four feet of super high tide surf.
It’s a great place to sit awhile but there’s not going to be much surf to ride.

Harlyn (2*):  2 to 3 feet

A couple or three feet of swirling surf is rolling under the bridge at Harlyn this morning, these super high tides preceding the Spring equinox almost driving up the slipway onto the road – but not quite.
As the tide spins out to an almost zero low the waves will sharpen, this south westerly wind hollowing and manicuring them, this afternoon’s pushing tide adding a little extra size to it all.
It could end up being very okay!

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  13:50  (0.3m)              High Tide:  19:41  (7.5m)

Surf Forecast for Thursday 14th March 2024

We’re expecting more of the same today, with brisk south westerly winds chopping out the surf at our main breaks, cleaning it up at Harlyn and other more sheltered spots.
We should expect some snappy little sand sucking tubes at Harlyn today but that big tide will play its part too pulling any size away through the morning, pushing some extra oomph to it all through the afternoon.

Surf Conditions for the Rest of the Week

Another series of little low pressure systems are lining up out in the Atlantic, ready to bring more wind and rain our way bit also ready to push more swell our way while raising air temperatures too.
So Harlyn will be the surf spot of the week, south westerly winds pushing offshore and pushing into mainly head high and hollow, often closing-out Harlyn.
There will be moments when those waves are bigger and equally, the dropping tide will pull the swell away so timing will play its part but generally we should enjoy a week of typical Harlyn winter surf.
Enjoy!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have the best week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
