Constantine (1*):  4 to 6 feet

The wind is biting, the rain is stinging and the sky is as grey as winter this morning. A cold west nor’ westerly wind is stirring and chopping the four or five feet of dark and uninviting sea.
I can think of at least eighteen better things to do than surf here today.
On the other hand…. better a rubbish surf in junk waves than no surf at all?
And keep your eyes on it just before dark, things could improve!

Harlyn (0*):  3 feet

That cold, wet wind is howling into a bleak looking Harlyn Bay this morning, battering and chopping the couple of feet of dark and broken up surf.
It ain’t pretty and it ain’t appealing but somehow, somehow the bays draw you to them to stop awhile and just be!

Today’s Tide Times:

Surf Forecast for Thursday 4th April 2024

Howling south westerly winds and a solid, building swell are going to drive most local surfers to Harlyn today, those wide open but often closing out barrels inviting you in for a proper sand-basting drubbing!
Starting out at about three feet or so in the morning, Harlyn will build to well overhead by evening, the low tide looking to crunch some boards on that hardened sand down there.
It’s not quite the lazy Spring surf sessions of our dreams but it should certainly be testing!

Surf Conditions for the Rest of the Week

A mixed up Easter week of fairly unexciting surf and changeable weather is waiting to be enjoyed this week.
Westerly, going south westerly, eventually southerly breezes will be fresh enough to mix up and chop the surf at our main surf breaks, the small swells maybe being not quite enough to raise excitement levels for surf at Harlyn.
But Harlyn is probably going to be the main focus of attention this week, especially for the Easter holiday visitors.
And we can expect a couple of feet of clean and fun, snappy little surf to play in there this week so all is in not lost!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have the very best Easter week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
