Constantine (2*):  2 to 3 feet

We seem to be starting this week with quiet weather, quiet seas and a peacefully quiet beach.
The surf is a little unexciting with three feet or so of bumpy and lumpy stuff being stirred by a chilly northerly breeze but the tide should allow it all to improve as we go along.
It seems to be a good day to get on with all those other jobs that have been put off during the recent run of good surf with maybe a little HTC surf break for lunch?

Harlyn (0*):  0 to 1 foot

An empty Harlyn Bay has that winter’s restful look to it this morning, the surf pretty much flat, the breeze chopping the surface of that grey sea.
The seabirds are loving life, scooting in and out with those tiny waves but there’s not much of interest to the average surfer here today.

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  18:31  (2.6m)              High Tide:  12:01  (5.8m)

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 31st January 2023

Westerly winds are likely to push a little extra swell our way today before backing more northerly to slop-out all of our surf breaks.
It’s likely to be a little grey and uninspiring for most of the day but we might sees a little glint of sunshine by teatime, maybe.

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

Onshore breezes seem set to frustrate our surf for most of the week with westerly, veering west nor’ westerly breezes chilling the air and maybe adding more dampness to the atmosphere well into midweek and further.
It will probably be the weekend before we see any southerly direction to that wind and so in the meantime we can expect three feet of junky surf to be teasing and taunting, getting slightly bigger through midweek before dropping again for the weekend.
If you want cleaner conditions you’ll have to travel at least a little this week, otherwise you can sharpen your reflexes in those twitchy and uncertain wintery waves!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
