Constantine (2*):  2 feet

A little overnight rain along with a blustery northerly breeze have dropped air temperatures by a few degrees this morning but it is still bright and sunny and just about promising to be another pleasant summer’s day.
We might just enjoy another shower or two yet though, thick, grey streams of cloud are bobbing along the horizon in that breeze!
The surf is a bit so-so this morning, a foot or two of sideshore blown junk surf is tumbling ashore but it is rideable and will probably end up being fun, maybe more so just ahead of high tide at lunchtime.

Harlyn (0*):  Flat

A brisk northerly breeze is whistling straight into Harlyn this morning, making the air feel chillier than it has for a while, at the same time as ruffling and crumbling the surface of that still flat sea.
There’s no surf here again today but it is still a pleasant place to hang for a wee while.

Surf Forecast for Saturday 13th July 2019

High pressure should be drifting back over us today allowing the breeze to back slightly more to the east, at least for a while.
So we might see some small surf but clean and sharp, a foot or two of glinting and gleaming stuff to tempt us in for a glide!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

We are expecting another fine weekend with small but fun surf and pleasant enough, getting better weather.
A close-fetch little swell is likely to be pushing a couple of feet of weakish but rideable surf our way through Saturday, the breeze drifting down from the north, hopefully easing slightly north easterly through the morning, more offshore at our better surf breaks.
So longboard gliding and fish flying is likely to be the order of the day in bright enough and summery enough conditions.
The breeze will be even calmer through Sunday, a light easterly breath of air lightly blowing against the real small surf.
Timing is going to be everything to get the most out of the surf today. Just at the right stage of tide at the right sandbank or reef or pointy thing, just at the right time and it should be fun, fun, fun. Or you might get skunked as you paddle out just as the tide fills in over your favourite break.
But there should be enough waves and weather to make it all good again this weekend!
Have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you are doing!
