It’s a mean ‘n moody one out there this morning, you might just need yer galloshes if you’re venturing out!
A steady north easterly breeze is keeping temperatures lower beneath a ceiling of dull and dark cloud cover, the odd wet and murky downpour dampening any enthusiasm for lazing on the beach.
A foot or two of windswept and dark, brooding waves are begrudgingly tumbling ashore, full of reluctance and hesitation. You’ll get a ride or two if you’re keen but it ain’t all that, not this morning.

The north easterly breeze is buffeting its way into the bay beneath that threatening and brooding, heavy looking sky this morning, nature seemingly suffering the lockdown blues the same as many others.
But it’s still a pleasant place to be, in a lonesome and broody kind of way.
A foot or so of tossed and chopped little surf is being bundled onto the sand by that breeze, all a little shapeless and weak looking from a surfer’s point of view but cosy and comforting too.
It is kind of nice without all the hullabaloo of a normal summer’s day though isn’t it?

Surf Forecast for Saturday 13th June 2020

A brisk easterly wind is being forecast to strengthen through the morning, blowing hard against the small, weak and still hesitant little swells that will be battling our way.
The weather should brighten by the afternoon after a maybe slow start.
But overall it should be pleasant enough to share with your chosen bubble!

Surf Conditions for this Weekend

A breezy and ‘mixed’ weekend is waiting for us this weekend, an offshore bluster flustering the small surf on Saturday, swinging onshore, south westerly by Sunday afternoon.
With only a foot or two of weak swell expected, it is going to be a battle between wind and swell for the next few days, that gusting offshore wind trying to flatten the weak and short travelled little swell as it loops slowly to shore.
But if you time it well and pick those wind sheltered spots that receive more than their fair share of swell, you should luck into a decent enough session, gliding across some proper little peelers.
And while the weather is likely to continue to be ‘mixed’, we should see enough cheery brightness to draw you out of lockdown seclusion.
Stay safe, stay happy and have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
