Constantine (0*):  Huge

The wind is blowing hard this morning, bowling great mountains of rain sodden cloud our way while the hedgerows are warping and shaking, the fields alive with waves of grass.
We can only imagine what the Caribbean have been going through! These wind speeds and waves sizes are nothing compared to what they have been enduring!
Even so, the surf is huge and out of control, you really don’t want to be engaging with that by choice!
So, South Coast anyone?

Harlyn (0*):  8 to 10 feet

Big waves are storm trooping their way into the bay here this morning, that storm force north westerly wind pushing and tugging as the set waves stand like mountains way outside on that outer reef before grinding their way ashore.
It’s big and it’s dark and it’s all a little bit exciting really!
If only the wind was kinder!
Maybe next week when we get the swell from those hurricanes along with calm winds?

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 12th September 2017

Those big and powerful swells of Monday will quickly disappear as we go into Tuesday, the wind easing but continuing from the north west, a cold and annoying direction at any time of the year, especially so now when we should be enjoying some long awaited September sessions!
Anyway, we will be enjoying three feet of close-fetch and wind chopped, junk surf today, the swell probably not being enough to light up the far coast!
It should be brighter though!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

Another blustery week of onshore winds and chopped out, windtorn surf is blowing our way!
The winds are set to blow hard and onshore for pretty much most of this coming week, mainly screaming in from the west nor’ west and so messing up all of the surf breaks locally.
We should see some bigger swells bouncing into the bays but they are likely to be no more than a mess of chop for most of the time.
This week does have the makings of a South Coast week, if those waves are big enough to swing their way that way!
We can only hope that the wind gods become kinder to us as the remnants of those nasty hurricanes sling some swell our way for the rolling week maybe.
Maybe.
In the meantime, have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
