At 7.25 a.m:

Constantine (3*):  2 feet.

It’s a bright and beautiful start to the day with a wide blue sky stretching across the horizon and the lightest of breezes whispering off the land.
The surf has dropped, probably more than you would have expected, leaving only a foot or two of immaculately shaped, glistening and glinting little peelers. But those sets of waves are a long way apart, indicating how far those little waves have travelled.
And they won’t be alone for long! We should see a steady increase in size throughout the day, doubling and trebling in size by this evening.
As long as that offshore wind doesn’t blow too strongly!
But we should be in for a beautiful day with some fantastic surf later on!

Harlyn (0*):  Flat.

It is as flat as flat can be around here this morning.
Barely a ripple of movement can be seen in the sea this morning, the lightest of offshore breezes smoothing the surface to a smooth and shiny sheen. It’s an absolutelyfabulous place for a swim or SUP this morning, a great place to launch a kayak but you’re not going to see any waves, not yet!

Surf Forecast for Tuesday 4th October 2016

I think that we can expect three feet of offshore shaped, long travelled and smooth, reeling swells rolling into all of our bays today.
there’s a depression way out to sea and high pressure just about over us so go wax your boards and enjoy!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

We could just be in for a bit of an epic week of surfing this week!
A building swell should open up the action on an offshore Monday morning. Starting out in the two to three feet range it won’t be long before we see some four to five feet sets and then those six foot swells should roll in by the evening.
The swell is likely to peak overnight dropping back to three feet or so by Tuesday morning but staying that way through most of the week and maybe longer!
Offshore winds, clear skies, mid-teens swell periods, empty beaches and warm water are all going to spoil us rotten this week!
Have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
