Constantine (3*):  2 to 4 feet

A light northerly breeze is keeping the air fresher than over on the other side of the country on this misty, mizzly, murky old Saturday morning, a wide stretch of brightness teasing from out on the horizon.
That breeze is lightly crumbling and ruffling the two to three feet of slowly moving surf, the odd and only very occasional bigger couple of waves tripping over the sandbars further out, tempting that long and often wasted wait for one of those bigger ones.
Still, there is some surf, the water is warm and it is all likely to improve throughout the day!

Harlyn (0*):  1 foot

Tiny waves of slop are washing onto the sand at Harlyn this morning, the bay seemingly reluctant to embrace today, apparently quite happy to snuggle down in the mist and murk of a very slow start.
It is all likely to improve as the tide shuffles in through the day but those waves are unlikely to build much at all – the other side is the place for surf today!

Surf Forecast for Sunday 9th August 2020

That same old northerly breeze will continue to keep our air fresh as the east of the country stifles and cooks on these hottest days. Hopefully the early morning cloud layer will eventually part to reveal some pleasant sunshine but the surf is unlikely to be better than a foot or two of weak and crumbly little waves!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

A warm and not unpleasant weekend is going to be made to feel fresher by a light northerly breeze this weekend, a steady three feet or so of slow and easy swell rolling along the coast and providing loads of fun surf without being too dramatic.
Hopefully that cloud cover that was shielding the sunshine at the end of the week will be shifted by the breeze, allowing the beachgoers a reason to linger longer.
All of our breaks should have plenty of fun and warm, if a little ruffled and crumbled surf for everyone to enjoy all weekend long!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
