Shadowy glimpses of dark and glassy waves can barely be seen through a dense wall of silver bright fog this morning.
Yes, a dense and almost impenetrable wall of fog is teasing us again today!
Messages of wall-to-wall sunshine and high temperatures will undoubtedly be pinged our way while we suffer in a damp chill of lo-viz blues again today.
But it sounds as though the surf is clean and reeling in, I’m guessing a couple of feet and glassy? And our turn will come soon enough.
In the meantime, about this wave machine in the California desert? And that contest?
All good or the devil’s work?
Let us know!
And good luck to all the guys enjoying the English Nationals down at Watergate and a big shout of support to Rhys up at the Welsh!

Harlyn (1*):  1 foot

The fog is slightly less impenetrable here this morning, allowing glimpses of maybe a foot of fairly dribble looking little surf.
It’s the other side for surf today, if that fog lifts. It sounds small but pretty good over there but visibility is so low, you’re unlikely to be able to see much even when you’re out there!

Surf Forecast for Bank Holiday Monday 7th May 2018

Well, if the fog and mist and mizzle ever lift then we should be in for a fabulous Bank Holiday Monday!
But that is in the laps of the Surf Gods.
In theory though we could be enjoying a couple of feet of peeling little waves in some gorgeous early summer sunshine.
Or we could be fog bound all day again!

Surf Conditions for the Bank Holiday Weekend

Ooh, it is actually looking good for this Bank Holiday weekend!
A pleasant two to three feet of rolling groundswell is on its way to us already and should continue to throw some prettily shaped and curling, peaking and peeling waves our way throughout the holiday weekend.
So Saturday, Sunday and Monday should present some very pleasantly shaped and fun surf, big enough to fire the stoke, not too big for the kids and occasional guys.
Throw some beautifully bright weather into the mix and we have the makings of a fabulous few days of surf and sun!
Have a great holiday weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
