Constantine (3*):  2 to 3 feet

Stacked bundles of threatening clouds are loitering just over there this morning but most of the sky is pleasantly bright and promising, wide spreads of blue suggesting better soon enough. The surf has dropped and the breeze has switched onshore, a superlight westerly just ruffling the two feet or so of early morning twitchy surf. It should all improve as the morning shakes itself awake.

Harlyn (2*):  1 foot

Those dark clouds of dawn are gradually lumbering away from Harlyn to leave a lot of space for plenty of sunshine this morning. The surf is tiny but the odd shin high close-out is slapping the sand if you have no alternative. And, as always, there is that cosy comfort here if you’re looking to just spend some time hanging out.

Surf Forecast for Friday 17th September 2021

A blustery offshore wind is going to be gusting up from the south east today, probably spreading a shower or two our way while pushing against the weakening swell.
We can expect a decent two or three feet or so of prettily shaped surf for most of the day but as Jeff Brewer noticed;  “there’s more banks in Padstow than Constantine”!
Picking the right moment is going to be key today!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

A mixed weekend is waiting for us but with plenty of waves, cleaning and sharpening in shape as we go along.
A little front will push some lumpy swell our way through Friday and into Saturday, north westerly winds chilling the air temperatures and slopping the three to four feet of otherwise fun surf through most of Saturday.
Calm offshore breezes will be cleaning the two feet or so of small but fun surf through Sunday, clear sunshine cheering up the otherwise fairly small conditions.
Monday might be more overcast but the surf could re-strengthen with a shot of new swell to add some more oomph to it all.
So, all in all a pretty fun weekend is waiting for us!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
