Constantine (1*):  2 feet

A brighter and lighter day is already pushing through an otherwise dark and dank, wet and breezy early morning. Give it an other hour or two and we should be good for a pleasant enough day to visit the beach.
And the surf is okay too with a couple to three feet of lightly crumbled and ruffled little waves tipping over onto those shallow sandbanks that are now suddenly littering the bays.
I think that we could just be in for a fun enough day of surf riding today!

Harlyn (0*):  0 to 1 foot

Another day of smooth and calm, total flatness awaits at Harlyn this morning, the mood lighting of a late summer morning adding to the atmosphere.
There’s no surf to ride at all but otherwise it is a great place to be for a paddle or a swim.

Surf Forecast for Friday 24th August 2018

Those north westerly breezes will be steadily breezing our way again today, just keeping the air temperature in check while ruffling and crumbling the surf.
And the surf should be that bit bigger today with a half decent three feet of fairly close together swells keeping some shape as they tumble and spin off those newly formed sandbanks in the middle of the bay.
We should see a little brightness in between the showers today too!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

We can expect a chillier feel to the air as this week gradually closes and the Bank Holiday Weekend approaches.
Saturday looks to be a calm and pleasant day with light, light breezes drifting down from the north and west, the sky mainly bright and clear but with a good chance of seeing the odd shower too.
Add a couple of feet of slow and lazy surf to the mix and you have the makings of a relaxed and fun day of surfing.
By Sunday the wind is likely to have backed to the south west before going westerly again through the afternoon. It should be worth getting in for a surf and the weather should be good enough for most of the time, you might just have to choose your time.
And holiday Monday is looking promising too with light south westerlies blowing just a little more swell our way on a brighter and sunnier day.
So, all in all not a bad old Bank Holiday Weekend with enough weather and surf to keep mostly everyone happy!
Have a great weekend wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
