Constantine (4*):  3 to 5 feet

Milky blue skies are stretching between the horizons on this St. David’s Day, pleasantly bright sunshine reinforcing that first day of Spring feeling as seabirds scavenge the shoreline to the deep bass rhythm of a pounding swell.
The surf is still peaking and peeling, roaring its way to the high tide sand.
Four to five feet of glassy faced, smooth and even swell is majestically folding its way ashore, a handful of earlybirds enjoying a pe-work glide.
And hopefully not long to go before everybody can safely return to share the beauty!

Harlyn (3*):  2 to 3 feet

A couple to three feet of lazy, early morning ruffled little surf is shuffling into the high tide depths at Harlyn this morning, the bay bright and beautiful on this first day of Meteorological Spring.
The sun is shining, the birds are singing and you would imagine that all is well in the world – but it’s still not quite, is it.

Forecast for Tuesday 2nd March 2021

A lazy, sunny day is expected today with smaller but still very fun surf and more gorgeous weather.
Spring might just have sprung – for a moment anyway!

Conditions for the Start of the Week

A very pleasant week of sunshine filled skies and light offshore breezes should ease the burden of a hopefully gradually easing lockdown period, if only a little.
The surf should be excellent all week long, gradually reducing in size as the week goes on but still very surf able all the way through.
Add to that lots of clear skies and mainly bright and sunny weather and we have what would normally be a perfect beach time. But of course with current covid restrictions still applying we do all have to continue to be that extra bit careful, especially when some sort of ending seems to be almost within reach.
Anyway, the only other fly in the ointment is likely to be the dropping temperatures through the back half of the week. It might continue to be sunny but those breezes are going to feel cold!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
