Constantine (0*):  6 to 8 feet

Cold and irritating, squally North Westerly winds are howling into the bays this morning, moaning and groaning as they heave and toss the sea in a swirling mess of surf.
The bright side is, well, the bright side; the sky is freshening and clearing as candy floss clouds are bundled across the horizon, that wintery blue sky impossible to ignore.
It’s the far coast’s turn for surf today but only for the locals during lockdown!

Harlyn (0*):  4 to 6 feet

That wind is cold, which explains the emptiness and lovely isolation of Harlyn this morning.
A bitingly cold nor’ wester is blasting sea and sand and spray across the bay as it tears up the already wind-ravaged swell.
You might not want to go dipping into the water on this coast today but it is a beautiful sight, especially if you can get out of that wind!

Surf Forecast for Friday 20th November 2020

The wind  will have settled back to the south west overnight and calmed a lot too, allowing Harlyn to bask in an offshore smoothed three foot swell.
Shame about the dampness though.

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

Another wet’n windy one is waiting to engulf us in its windy dampness this weekend, with strong sou’ westerly winds forecast through Saturday, calming but easing north westerly into Sunday.
With a windblown six feet or so of chopped and slopped swell weakening as we go through the weekend, the only waves of any quality are likely to be at Harlyn on Saturday.
We can expect a decent six feet plus dropping to four to six feet of offshore wind smoothed surf at Harlyn through Saturday becoming three to four feet of lightly slopped stuff on Sunday.
So, as we plough along on this weird kind of a second lockdown the surf is not looking great this weekend, it’ll be okay if you have easy and socially safe access to your favourite spot but you wouldn’t want to break lockdown for it.
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
