Constantine (2*):  4 to 6 feet

Lumpy four to five foot swells are tumbling in beneath clearing skies in the peace and quiet of an almost Springlike morning down in the bay. A light southerly breeze is just fresh enough to ruffle and bump the surf, the rips promising a fun paddle out into a difficult looking lineup.
With the promise of a bright and cheery day ahead of us, let’s go see what Harlyn has on offer …….

Harlyn (3*):  3 feet

It’s all calm and peaceful around at Harlyn this morning, the lightest of breezes drifting almost offshore but not yet having much of an improving effect on the three to four feet or so of lazy looking surf.
That could be just early morning sloppiness combining with the rising tide depths so it should all improve soon enough.
With the sun reaching for its shiny hat and the breeze promising to remain light, it’s all looking good for a pleasant enough day of wave riding here today!

Surf Forecast for Saturday 13th April 2024

South westerly breezes and a solid four to six feet of even swell indicates another fun day of surf to be had at our favourite winter surf break of Harlyn.
Although the swell might start to ease off in the afternoon, the ring tide should balance that out allowing us to enjoy some decent surf (for Harlyn!) all day long.

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

A nice enough weekend weather wise will make the split surf conditions a little more enjoyable over the next couple of days, the breeze mainly from the south west on Saturday easing more to the north west on Sunday morning before settling westerly again for the afternoon.
So Harlyn is going to be the preferred surf spot of the weekend, clean and about three to four feet (hopefully!) on Saturday maybe dropping a little through Sunday afternoon.
We should see enough sunshine to cheer us all up but it’s not guaranteed, we could end up being trapped beneath that grey cloud cover that we have enjoyed for most of winter or indeed, we could see more wetness but being the eternal optimist I’m holding out for some real fun surf beneath spring-like blue skies.
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have the very best weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
