Constantine (1*):  4 to 6 feet

Brighter skies are gradually pushing their way through the grey and heavy clouds that supplied last night’s downpours, the wind having eased overnight too.
But there’s still a fresh sou’ westerly breeze tumbling and rolling five to six feet of grey and bumpy swell as it bounces into the bays.
There’s not much to ride out here again so let’s pop along to the container-port of Harlyn for a squint……

Harlyn (3*):  3 to 4 feet

Ah, Harlyn is delivering some fine waves again this morning!
The tide is completely wrong right now as it drops to a midday low, but there are still a bundle of head-high, thick and heavy walls of water folding onto the sand. Enough to please the pre-work dawn patrollers anyway. But give it a couple of hours and it should improve!

Today’s Tide Times:

Low Tide:  11:27  (1.8m)              High Tide:  17:19  (6.7m)

Surf Forecast for Saturday 6th January 2023

Those continuing south westerly winds are likely to strengthen again overnight to be blowing fresh and strong through Saturday, while big waves start to wallop their way into the bays.
It’s going to be big and wet and windy, a testing day at all of our surf breaks!

Surf Conditions for the Weekend

Big waves are aiming our way for this weekend!
Big waves and gusting sou’ westerly winds with, of course, plenty of dampness and maybe just a little sunshine too.
Locally, Harlyn is going to be our main, if not only option but even here those waves are going to get big.
So it could just be a good weekend to get out and explore our raggedy, jaggedy Cornish coastline in search of those tucked away, sheltered spots that need massive swells to fire them up.
There will be spots all over the Duchy that should wake up this weekend and provide a more user-friendly session or two before returning to their slumber in calmness.
But, remember; it’s rude to turn up mob-handed at another surf break and more importantly; if in doubt – don’t paddle out!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
